Trullo di Marella

Just a few kilometers from Martina Franca and Cisternino, on a dominating hill, you will find Trullo di Marella, that offers a cozy and warm refuge, calm but convivial, with wide open and
hospitable spaces for long chats, outdoor games, long sleeps on the hammocks in the shade, books, food, dances in the pool and sights over the horizon where the sunset highlights the skyline of Martina Franca.

The property, positioned on higher grounds on an hectare of land, includes a “trullo” - consisting of 7 intimate and dreamy cones - and standing only 30 feet apart a larger country house, functional and ready to accommodate large dinners with cozy seating besides the fireplace whenever you don’t feel like staying outside.

Next to the house there is a large patio covered with wooden logs and canes; this is usually the guests favorite spot with its large cement table, the seating all around, the hammocks and the pool right next to it.

The Trullo: inside includes one double bedroom, one 2 bed room and one single bed room, one bathroom with shower; 2 doors lead to the outside where you will find an outside shower and a small pergola next to the pool. The whole trullo was restored with the highest respect of the original materials and shape.

The “Lamia” dwelling: inside includes one double room (separable in two single beds), one bathroom with shower, storage room, large living area with kitchen, dining area, stone fireplace area where the seating can turn in 2 extra beds; three doors lead to the outside. The “lamia” together with the standard equipment includes TV set, gas stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, WI-FI, BBQ, bocce court and dart board.

The distance between the 2 structures allows you to have a very quiet sleep in the Trullo and a lively dinner under the patio next to the Lamia.

Our passion for the territory, the arts and the artisanship has led us to furnish the trulli with the essential: handmade object both modern and from the past and never intruding images and memories. We leave the rest to the pictures that most often speak better than us.

Position: in the hearth of Valle d’Itria approximately 5 km from Martina Franca, 10 km from Cisternino, 11 km from Alberobello (city of the trulli), 19 km from Ostuni (the “white city”), 94 km from Lecce and its refined baroque and 38 km from Taranto and its wonderful Archeological Museum that tells so much of our history.

Sea:  28 km from the Adriatic sea, 50 km from the Ionian Sea.
